Living Well

6140017255_815f69e70eAs I look back on 2012, I think about all the amazing books I read and how I have learned from each and every one of them. I wanted to share some of them with you. I say “some of them” because I think I may be missing a few.  There are 30 listed below, so that isn’t too bad!  I challenge you to read the ones that are appropriate to your life. Reading is one of the best, least expensive ways to continue to grow in your knowledge.  I also do alot of my “reading” in the car while driving.  Although that may sound extremely dangerous, I mean by listening to them on CD.  I would say most of these came from my local public library as well, so they cost absolutely nothing!  No excuses, start reading!

Parenting Books I Read:

I tend to cycle through parenting books.  It is one of the jobs I take the most serious in life, so I want to constantly remind myself of my duties.  A little obsessive maybe, but I really do enjoy these books and I have no doubt that they make me a better father to my four girls:

Bringing up Girls by Dr. James Dobson
Daddy Dates by Greg Wright
Have A New Kid By Friday by Kevin Leman
Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters by Dr. Meg Meeker

Marriage Books I Read:

Mandy and I read these books and then discuss them on the podcast.  It is a subject I am extremely passionate about and love to soak up all the information I can on growing a strong marriage.

Sacred Marriage by Gary Thomas

Rocking the Roles by Robert Lewis and William Hendricks

The Good News About Sex and Marriage by Christopher West

The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey

Miscellaneous Books I Read:

When the Game Was Ours by Larry Bird and Magic Johnson

Suze Orman’s 2009 Action Plan by Suze Orman

Annuities For Dummies by Kerry Pechter

Quitter by Jon Acuff

The End of Molasses Classes by Ron Clark

Moneyball by Michael Lewis

Can A Catholic Be A Democrat by David Carlin
