In this episode of the Beyond Your Wedding Day Podcast,we continue our discussion on the book Stripped Down by Tony and Alisa DiLorenzo from oneextraordinarymarriage.com. We discuss chapter 12 entitled “A Little Romance.”

We discuss how our Thrive90 Fitness Program (affiliate link) is going. We had a terrible week last week with Mandy being sick, so we still need to do 2 more weeks to finish.

90 Days of Sex Challenge update: Finally a low reading on the fertility monitor the morning of our recording!   The excitement kind of affected us while recording :)

-Being romantic is more than just huge romantic events

*it’s the little things that count too

-One key to romance comes from doing something that is unexpected

-Some outside the box ideas:

*Give a compliment when least expected (words of affirmation)

*Spend quality time together (quality time)

*Doing something special that says I love you (gifts)

*Do something to serve your spouse (acts of service)

*Give non-sexual touch (physical touch)

-The things you did when you were first dating to be romantic can go right out the window especially after having kids

*you don’t want to buy flowers b/c it’s not in the budget

*you don’t want to light candles b/c you might burn down the house

*the only music that’s in the background anymore is from Barney

-CHOOSE to be romantic even if you don’t FEEEEL like it

-The cool thing is that you can create a cycle of romance by being the first to act

-Guys: if you want to increase the sexual intimacy in the bedroom, be romantic throughout the day!
